So Louisiana Tech is actually one of the few colleges in the state that offers a forestry program. What really drove me into the forestry program here is for one affordability, and two, the hands on experience that Louisiana Tech offers. When you're in your freshman year, they try to get you out in the field to apply what you're learning as you learn it.

The NCLEX is what you have to take at the end of your schooling to grant you the title of being an RN. And Louisiana Tech actually has 100% passing rate since I've been at school here. And so they really do prepare us for it. Like every single class we take it gears you straight towards the NCLEX.

I genuinely believe that anyone who wants to major in human ecology, in particular, in nutrition, it has to be someone who is willing to just be ready to help people. We're all about figuring out the problem and trying to solve it. So I think that if anyone wants to solve an issue, if anyone wants to help a family, human ecology is your place to be.

At the College of Applied Natural Sciences, I feel like I have developed the skills necessary to prepare me for grad school. And it's really provided me with all the resources that I needed.
