So the benefits for living on campus would be your community, and then your convenience. You are surrounded by people consistently and people that you see every day. In Res Life, we have academic RA's, so we can help with studying, tutoring. You have a lobby or a lounge in the traditional res halls, where you can meet up there, you can socialize. So here at Tech, we have many different options for our housing. Just depending on whatever you really want and desire in your living space, and that could be a traditional res hall, an apartment, a suite. And so if you have a little checklist of the amenities that you want, we have something that will be here like directly for you.
Louisiana Tech is consistently ranked one of the safest campuses in the state. We also have a really great option that Tech police offers. And it's in a golf cart escort service. And so you can call Tech PD anytime when the sun goes down, and they will bring you around campus so you're not alone. And we also have emergency telephones in several different locations that are brightly lit, well labeled and so you can always use that if something arises. So living on campus is super convenient. You can walk to any class within five to ten minutes. You can have a bike but you don't have to leave [INAUDIBLE]. A place to study, a place to eat, a place to exercise, a place to socialize. It is all right here and you just have like your little home base.
