The College of Liberal Arts is at its heart a place of community and connection. It's a place where art can collaborate with aviation, design with science, and English with history. What I like the most about being in the College of Liberal Arts is the creativity aspect that they let us all go out and explore. Just being here, it's like I get to have all these different outlets that I'm able to explore, and they're all appreciated equally.

Students from the College of Liberal Arts not only get to ask big questions about the world, but we get to put those questions into practice when we leave the college. So whether that means you're going to law school or working in graphic design, architecture, aviation management, or as a teacher, our students can leave the college knowing that regardless of where the world goes, they will have the critical thinking skills to survive and thrive. I chose the Louisiana Tech architecture program versus going somewhere else because when I came to do my tour, I sat down with Dr. Depollo and he really gave me that close-knit family feeling—that you will feel safe here and you will thrive.

Louisiana Tech University has a degree for everyone. For me, that degree is professional aviation. It is the only accredited program for aviation in the state of Louisiana. I love flying planes, and that's something that I've always wanted to do. Another thing that sets our college apart is the very close, intimate relationship fostered between students and faculty. A lot of our courses have very low enrollment, which means our students are not numbers. They are not faceless people. They are names, they are relationships, and we work very closely with them.

We have a really exciting study abroad program that we offer to our students as well. We've been to countries like Germany, Japan, Spain, and Morocco. That experience provides the opportunity for our students to not only see wonderful art and design but also to be immersed in a culture. I loved being in the College of Liberal Arts at Louisiana Tech University because we offer a very diverse group of studies. From the stage to the cockpit, we are a very welcoming college and anyone can find their place here.
